Oyedele Adeyi

Dr. Adeyi is an associate professor of Pathology at the University of Toronto, Canada and staff pathologist at the Laboratory Medicine Program & Multi-organ Transplantation Program, University Health Network, Toronto, Canada. He had his medical education at the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Nigeria, graduating in 1987. He completed his anatomic pathology residency at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Nigeria in 1997 and later, a combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center/Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, NH, USA between 2001 and 2005. This was followed by a liver and transplantation pathology clinical fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, PA, USA. Since 2006 Dr. Adeyi has served as a liver and transplantation pathologist at Canada’s largest transplant and liver centers with an active consultation service across Canada. His clinical responsibilities cover oncologic, medical, and transplant liver diseases. He is a member of many professional committees; a past chair of the education committee of the Hans-Popper Hepatopathology Society; and currently a member of the College of American Pathologists Surgical Pathology Committee. A well-cited author of more than 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, Dr. Adeyi has also contributed book chapters in highly successful pathology and radiation oncology volumes. He teaches locally, nationally and internationally; has served as faculty at local, national and international medical conferences, symposia and workshops, and is an advocate for quality standards in medical, oncologic and transplantation liver pathology.
