Dr. Maliha Khara is a PGY4 Anatomical Pathology resident at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. She obtained her medical training at Medical University of Lublin, Poland. She will be continuing her training at as the Forensic Pathology Fellow at the Center of Forensic Science in Toronto followed by formal Neuropathology training. Her research interest includes uncovering the molecular basis of neuropathology in Sudden and Unexpected death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) and exploring the use of Desorption electrospray ionization (DESI) to aid in frozen section analysis. Dr. Khara is passionate about teaching and guiding learners at all levels.
Outside of academia, most of her time is spent playing the role of mommy. She also loves baking and when time permits, home renovation projects. She aspires to learn violin and swimming, eventually.
